Zutrula began with a love for travel, not a plan to build software. After 15 years managing complex project deliveries at Ford across 20 countries, Kamal turned that same precision toward planning unforgettable trips for friends — trips people still talk about years later. Alongside Ram and Sasi, both with 15 years in deep fintech and tech backgrounds, he noticed how much time and effort it took to go from idea to flawless execution — and how much more complex it was for travel agencies and DMCs doing this at scale. That realization, born out of real trips and real friendships, led to Zutrula in August 2024: a platform built to unwind the complexity of travel, one journey at a time.

Exploring 18 countries taught me how food, culture, and connection can completely transform a person. I wanted to help others taste the fruit of travel, a desire that ultimately sparked a massive career pivot from enterprise delivery to traveltech innovation.

I spent 15 years as a Delivery Manager at Ford, mastering large-scale execution, operational excellence, and the architecture of complex systems.

The Pivot

Driven by my passion for global exploration, I left the automotive world to dive into the core mechanics of the tourism industry and solve its biggest operational bottlenecks.

The Destination

In 2024, I founded Zutrula. As a Traveltech Founder, my mission is to bridge the gap between powerful, intuitive software and unforgettable travel experiences.

I’m Sasikumar Thenchezhi, founder and lead developer of Zutrula. My journey in software engineering began with core banking migrations and technology leadership for regional travel companies, followed by 12 years building secure, high-performance backend systems for the digital lending industry.

Fintech taught me that great technology must be dependable behind the scenes and effortless for the people using it. I created Zutrula to bring that same reliability, security, and cloud-engineered precision to my true passion: travel.

As a traveller myself, I know the best adventures begin when planning feels simple and uncertainty fades away. My goal is to give travellers and travel businesses dependable technology that makes every journey easier to plan, manage, and enjoy.
